Gavin McCormick
A classicist by training: this often comes through in my writing, which aims to offer thought-provoking cultural comment and historically informed discussion. I am guided by the principle that the best writing must be probing and reflective, while also being direct and trenchant, yet charitable and open to critique. I am Head of Classics and Head of the Senior Scholars at Stowe School. I have held roles in the past at Bedford School, South Hampstead High School, and North London Collegiate School, and as a tutor and lecturer at Oxford. I hold a DPhil degree from the University of Oxford.
